The DDSG fleet will allow you to discover Vienna and its surroundings from the water - which is a completely different angle....if you are lucky you will board the MS Vindobona (which was painted by Vienna's master painter Hundertwasser) and you will be able to relax on and watch the landscape go by. There is also the experience of navigating through one or two of the Danube canal locks - the boat is raised or lowered where the water levels of the Danube differ (due to the dams). This is pretty neat!
Of course there is restaurant on board, but pretty basic. You will find a variety of cold and hot dishes, but also Viennese specialties and pastries.
