Umar is one of the better known Fish restaurants in Vienna. Fish is their business - they sell it on the market during the day, you get the best choice in the restaurant. It is respectfully and well prepared - so if you are a fish lover....you cannot really go wrong here.
The restaurant itself is small and cosy, however, there is not a lot of space so be prepared to rub shoulders with the neighbours. Some might even think the interior needs a bit of “freshening up” – but nothing really to get seriously worried about – it is the food that is the most important thing here! Try the squid - a dream, otherwise the tartare, again a real hit!
The wine card is average, so is the service, remember, you are here for the fish!
