Since the early 20th century this cafe has been catering for Viennese locals – it is a jewel among the cafes in Vienna. It underwent a radical change in interior design when star designer Terrence Conran remodelled the place in 2005 - and is now somewhat hip and urban meeting point for everybody (the clientele is completely mixed), yet again clear and modest at the same time.
However, this Café differs from others, because here you will find hot food & breakfast 23h a day. In fact, many people who go out at night and get hungry with the morning lights come here to refuel themselves and then continue home into their beds.
Locals usually come here at all hours, whenever they feel like eating. Reservations is not possible here, so you will have to try your luck – and you will need it, it gets very crowded during weekends.
