Next, head to the town of Krems, part of the Wachau region, and full of wine villages, fortresses, and castles. Walk through the Old Town and pass by the Steiner Tor. Continue to the town of Dürnstein, home to the ruins of Castle Kuernriger, where Richard Lionheart, King of England, was held prisoner for a year.
